Set up by linguist, Paola Piccardo, Piccardo Language Services is committed to helping individuals learn a language in a fun and interactive environment. Using her experience of teaching in private language schools across the UK, and at the University of Aberdeen, Paola has developed her own teaching method and bespoke extra material to achieve the best results.
Learning another language is not only learning different words for the same things, but learning another way to think about things.

My name is Paola and I am a professional language tutor. I have a PhD in Modern languages (English, French and Italian) and I love teaching!
Over the years I helped hundreds of people from all over the world and from all walks of life to learn a new language and pass exams first time. I think that language learning should be fun and my passion is to teach with an interactive and friendly approach.
We aim to motivate and inspire students – at their own pace – with a teaching approach that encompasses all aspects of language. Using grammar, speaking, witing and reading, we build confidence.
With a language comes the culture of a country and so cultural awareness is also an important aspect of our approach.
Classes are aimed at building language skills from beginners to intermediate and advanced, with specific bespoke activities for each student.
We use a range of different media, such as books, audio and video recordings, articles, grammar and vocabulary games and quizzes.
Delegates are also given reading and comprehension exercises, phonetic drills and guided dialogue for speaking practice.
